2008 Season Formula One champion and Mclaren’s No1 driver Lewis Hamilton and Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger have split after dating for more than two years.

The 25-year-old McLaren driver and 31-year-old singer said in a joint statement released Monday that they sought to concentrate on their careers.
They had been always in news since meeting at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich in November 2007. Scherzinger, a regular presence in F1's paddock since, was track side a year later when Hamilton won his first F1 title at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
