Toasted McLaren F1 Makes Baby Jesus Cry

Last week, legendary F1 racer Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from the 2009 Australian Grand Prix after racing officials decided that he and McLaren director, Dave Ryan, had lied about the contents of a radio exchange that had occurred after Hamilton allowed Toyota driver Jarno Trulli to overtake him while following behind the safety car. Initially, Trulli’s maneuver was penalized by the racing officials and his 25-second penalty bumped Hamilton up to third place in the final standings. After more light was shed on the incident, however, the penalty was retracted and Hamilton’s results were cancelled. Outraged by the series of events, Hamilton insisted that he was innocent of any deception. “I was misled and that is the way it went,” Hamilton told reporters. “I would like to say a big sorry to all my fans who have believed in me, who have supported me for years, who I showed who I am for the past three years, and it is who I am. I am not a liar. I am not a dishonest person.”
