Gemballa MIG-U1


Whenever we hear the word Gemballa, thoughts of highly modified Porsche Cayeness and super tuned Carrera GT comes to our minds, however it comes at no surprise that this Gundam winged Ferrari Enzo super car comes from the same stable as Tornados and Mirages. The Gemballa MIG-U1 will be limited to only 25 units, every single one of them being individually adjusted.

Gemballa is remaining a bit tight lipped about the specifics surrounding the MIG U1 and won’t reveal any of the tuned super car’s official details until the invitation only launch in Dubai. The kit looks like it started as a take on Ferrari’s FXX program and then morphed into something more reminiscent of a stealth bomber with its pronounced wing and assortment of scoops all covered in a coat of Championship White. On the inside, the Enzo’s business only attitude has been given a bit of a plush makeover with special quilted red Alcantara covering the seats, steering wheel and interior trim as well as an in dash LCD screen to control the MIG’s in car entertainment system. Once again the German tuner has shown us their ability to take an already attractive high performance machine and completely transform it into something unrecognizably out of this world.

Hemmings Find of the Day: Porsche 356 Prototype hits the market



The Porsche 356 holds a special place amongst the ranks of past automobiles. As digit of the first vehicles to wear the Porsche badge after World War II, this car has candid ties to the model that would forever define the German maker of fine sportscars. That, of course, is the iconic 911.



Collectors, take note: digit of two early 356 prototypes is now up for sale, located in New York. We wonder, would that make this a 355? No, probably not. Looking over pictures of the car, it's clear to see the shape that would eventually invoke into the classic 356 as well as the expected air-cooled powerplant sitting aft of the cockpit and dynamical the rear wheels.



Notable features that didn't attain it to the creation car include the face frame that directs cooling air to the rear-mounted engine and the nous lamps that are sunk into the bodywork on either side. No price is traded on this particular sale, but we certainly wouldn't expect it to be sold without a large sum of money changing hands.

The MIG U1 is a limited edition creation, and it was made specifically for the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group of Dubai, Gemballa’s newest Distributor for the Middle East market and boy is it special.
